Pappy the Poodle, a famous white poodle known for walking on his hind legs, visited NBC Chicago to attempt a Guinness World Record. He successfully weaved through eight poles, impressing viewers and showcasing his remarkable training.
A famous, fluffy white poodle named Pappy the Poodle strolled into the NBC Tower in Chicago Tuesday morning, but he didn't make his entrance on all fours. Pappy, who went viral last year after an Instagram video showed him walking across Michigan Avenue on his hind legs in downtown Chicago, stopped by the NBC Chicago studios. According to his trainer, Rothacker, it took about a year to train Pappy to walk on his hind legs before 'he became really good.
' But Tuesday's field trip to NBC Chicago was a bit more special for Pappy, as Rothacker and the poodle attempted to break a Guinness World Record. Pappy weaved through eight poles before walking back to his trainer. About 6:15 a.m., Pappy appeared to have secured the win with ease -- weaving in and out back and forth without falling. Pappy's visit to NBC Chicago was part of a segment showcasing his unique talent. Viewers might have seen Pappy making his way across the anchor desk or even joining the weather segment. His appearance was a delightful treat for morning viewers and a testament to the incredible bond between Pappy and his trainer.
