Violet Affleck is speaking out against a proposed mask ban in Los Angeles.The 18-year-old daughter of actors Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner gave a minute-long speech on Tuesday at a meeting of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.As seen in a video posted to X yesterday, Affleck began by introducing herself: “Violet Affleck, Los Angeles resident, first-time voter of 18.” She then revealed that she “contracted a post-viral condition in 2019.
” She then introduced a set of propositions that would “confront the long Covid crisis.”“I demand masks availability, air filtration, and far-UVC light in government facilities—including jails and detention centers—and mask mandates in county medical facilities,” she said. “You must expand the availability of high-quality free tests and treatment and, most importantly, the county must oppose mask bans for any reason.”Affleck concluded, “ do not keep us safer.
