A man has been taken to hospital after a violent brawl erupted inside Sydney’s Accor Stadium after the Manly Sea Eagles’ upset win over the Canterbury Bulldogs in Sunday’s NRL elimination final. Several people began fighting in the lift foyer on Level 4 next to the stadium’s private suites about 6pm, police said.
Brawl erupts after Manly victory in NRL elimination final. Video from the scene show a man with blood coming from his mouth, while another had blood on his jersey. Multiple security guards were seen rushing to the fight to intervene. A 29-year-old man from Auburn suffered facial injuries and was taken to Concord Hospital, police said. Another man from Greenacre, aged 30, suffered extensive facial injuries but declined treatment.
