He reprised the role nine years later in the 2013 sci-fi film, Riddick, which was a smash at the box office, grossing nearly $100 million against a $38 million budget.
Diesel is reportedly bringing another Riddick movie, Furya, to the big screen sometime in the next few years, but practically nothing is known about the project at this time. The Riddick franchise is the perfect blend of both Dune and Lord of the Rings, with engaging sci-fi elements and subtle nods of fantasy as well.
