Vikings place WR Justin Jefferson on injured reserve
Jefferson, the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year in 2022, strained his right hamstring in the second half of Minnesota's 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday.
Mullens was inactive against the Chiefs due to a back injury. Rookie Jaren Hall now serves as the backup to starter Kirk Cousins for the Vikings, who signed quarterback Sean Mannion to the practice squad on Wednesday. Jefferson has been a workhorse for the Vikings, who selected him with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
