At Kia's EV Day event, the automaker finally revealed some specs for its upcoming EV5 electric SUV. However, the details shared are only for the Chinese and Korean markets, and currently it doesn't sound like Kia will sell the EV5 in the States.The EV5 will be built in China and Korea, and Kia has said it doesn't plan to build it in North America.
Of course, Kia says the Korean versions will have slightly smaller batteries and slightly less power.Despite sharing details about the EV5's powertrains and range estimates, Kia hasn't said anything about its dimensions, but the SUV is undoubtedly shorter than the 197.4-inch-long EV9.While no information has yet been revealed, Kia has confirmed a higher-performance GT version of the EV5 will eventually join the family.Look at the EV5's L-shaped taillights.
