Watch Aaron Craft and Shawn Springs discuss their induction into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame and look back on the highlights from their Buckeye careers.
When Aaron Craft attended an Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony as a Buckeye player, he hoped one day he might earn that honor himself.
The Ohio State basketball legend did exactly that on Friday night as Craft was one of 15 former Buckeye players inducted into the 2022 class. But that's not to say Craft was anticipating his Hall of Fame status ahead of time. "Did I think it would happen? Probably not. I definitely wasn't expecting the phone call when I got it," Craft said."It is crazy. I'm super young for all of this. I don't feel like the dues have been paid in a sense. Another part of it is, I played with great players that have not – that I think will be at this stage, but just haven't yet. But really good guys that set the way for me, so it feels weird for me to kind of step ahead of them in a sense.
Craft discussed his path to Ohio State, his standing as a fan favorite Buckeye and the highlight moments from his career in scarlet and gray in an interview with media members Friday, and you can check out everything he said in the video above. Joining Craft in the 2022 class was Buckeye football players Shawn Springs, Tom Tupa and Billy Ray Anders, and Eleven Warriors caught up with Springs to discuss the honor before the induction ceremony began. Here at the Covelli Center before Aaron Craft and other Buckeye greats are inducted into the Ohio State athletics Hall of Fame.
