Dash camera footage has surfaced following Nelly's arrest outside a St. Louis-area casino.
A portion of the video includes footage of police escorting Nelly out of the Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights before they approach a squad car. His hands are in front of him, with his wrists bound in handcuffs.
The rapper, along with the officers, then walk off camera. The officers chit chat for a bit and they eventually leave the casino.Nelly, 49, whose birth name is Cornell Haynes II, was arrested in Missouri for possession of four ecstasy pills and for not having insurance Aug. 7 at 4:45 am., according to police records. He was taken to the Maryland Heights Police Department and later released., Nelly has two children, including a 26-year-old daughter and a 21-year-old son.
Nelly and Ashanti each rose to fame with their own careers in the 2000s. Ashanti was often called the princess of hip-hop and R&B, while Nelly was most known for his popular hits "Country Grammar," "Hot in Herre," and "Dilemma." Nelly has won three Grammy Awards, including one for "Hot in Herre," another for "Dilemma," and a third for "Shake Ya Tailfeather." He also has nine Billboard Awards.
Ashanti's self-titled debut album won a Grammy Award in 2003 for Best Contemporary R&B Album. The album was later certified triple platinum in the U.S.
