Body camera video shows an officer saying he needs to pat them down to make sure they don't have any weapons but immediately, one of the two, identified as Nyah Mway, runs away. The three officers assigned to the Crime Prevention Unit involved in the shooting were identified as Patrick Husnay, a six-year veteran of the Utica Police Department who was also the officer who shot the juvenile, Bryce Patterson, a four-year veteran, and Andrew Citriniti a two-and-a-half-year veteran who previously served with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
The other juvenile was detained in the back of a police vehicle and was not involved in the shooting.
