It all happened Thursday night when a suspect ran from an officer for nearly two miles, then made their way into the Green River.
Video from the King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian One helicopter shows several officers near the bank of the river, planning their moves to catch the person.
You can also see the person hiding just feet away before making their way into the water, hoping that the helicopter wouldn’t be able to detect their body heat. In the video, the helicopter does lose sight of the person several times before spotting their head above water. Then, you see the moments Seattle Police Department officers were able to catch them underneath a nearby bridge.
The incident started with officers trying to contact the person for violating a no-contact order case, but a team effort by law enforcement was the key to their arrest.
