A New Jersey grand jury indicted the man on two third-degree charges of making terroristic threats.
The father of a Gloucester County high school student has been indicted after he walked into a classroom in March and allegedly threatened a student who was involved in a dispute with his daughter.was at Paulsboro High School on March 11 to sign out his child, according to court documents. The man’s daughter was having a problem with another student over photos allegedly shared with others, according to police. Instead of leaving the school after signing out his daughter on the day of the confrontation, the father headed upstairs to a classroom, police said. “You heard what the I said. Apologize to my daughter,” the father repeated, his voice getting louder. “Now.”It was more than a minute into the nearly 3-minute video before an adult tried to intervene. A man put his arm on the father’s back and attempted to escort him from the room as the parent verbally sparred with the second student, trading vulgar retorts, the video shows.
One of the students the father confronted then tried to encourage him to fight, according to the video. The man, who was almost out of the classroom, returned to face the teenager. The parent and the teen appeared to make physical contact, and police alleged the father made threats and grabbed the student’s arm.
