Minister of Health of the Kamchatka Krai, Oleg Melnikov, said that despite the danger, doctors remained calm and stayed with the patient. Melnikov also shared that the patient is doing well, writing, "I admire and thank our specialists for their professionalism and resilience in a stressful situation."throughout the Pacific Coast. So far, a tsunami has hit coastal areas of Russia’s Kuril Islands, Japan’s large northern island of Hokkaido, Hawaii and Alaska.
