“The age of the younger two who have been alleged to have done this, that's a bit unusual for a bank robbery,” Schneider said.
An alleged three-person bank robbery crew has been taken into custody in Texas.They're being called “the little rascals,” by the FBI because all three are under the age of 17. The youngest is just 11 years old.'It's one of the first times I’ve seen that,' Mike Schneider, a retired juvenile district court judge, said, referring to how young the perpetrators are.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the three boys passed a threatening note to a teller at a Wells Fargo in Houston.They were believed to be armed and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.Once the surveillance photos were released, the sheriff's office said tips started coming in. In a dramatic turn of events, two of the boys' parents came forward.The third boy was identified by law enforcement.
