Harris County Sheriff's deputies and tow truck drivers are credited with saving a man's life after pulling him from a burning SUV on Tomball Parkway.
A wrong-way collision on the Tomball Parkway left one driver dead and another fighting for their life after being pulled from a burning SUV by deputies and bystanders. The crash happened in the early morning hours of Jan.

Investigators say a driver traveling the wrong direction struck another vehicle, sparking a massive fire.The wrong-way driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was trapped inside as flames began to engulf the car. HCSO Deputy John Syzdek and Sgt. Jonathan Tirk, along with tow truck drivers from Precision Towing, worked to extinguish the flames enough to extricate the victim.
