Agile ONE is a factory-ready humanoid from German startup Agile Robots, built to work safely with humans on precise industrial tasks.

German startup Agile Robots has previewed a new humanoid robot designed for real-world industrial environments, bringing advanced Physical AI to the factory floor. Agile One features human-like dexterity, onboard AI, and tactile fingertips for precise manipulation.

According to the Munich-based firm, Agile ONE, with 71 degrees of freedom, audio-based interaction, and up to eight hours of battery life, is designed to handle complex, repetitive, and high-precision tasks. In factory settings, the five-fingered humanoid is intended to work safely alongside humans, handling tasks from material transport and machine tending to tool use and precise manipulation.Dexterity meets automationAgile One is equipped with advanced capabilities that enable it to operate effectively in demanding industrial environments. Its onboard AI supports audio-based conversations, allowing intuitive interaction with human workers. The robot features strong spatial awareness for navigating dynamic settings, along with active motion and sound tracking to respond to changes in its surroundings. The humanoid also prioritizes safe, comfortable robot-human interaction through a human-friendly UX. Key design elements include bright colors, responsive eyes, proximity sensors, and a chest information display. From a technical standpoint, Agile One is designed for both strength and endurance. It can carry payloads of up to 44 pounds and stands 174 centimeters tall, weighing 69 kilograms. The robot reaches speeds of up to 2.0 meters per second and offers up to eight hours of battery life, enabling extended operation across shifts. With a total of 71 degrees of freedom, including 21 in each hand, it delivers human-like dexterity.According to Agile Robots, leveraging this advanced skillset, Agile ONE integrates smoothly into existing operations. It performs complex, repetitive, and high-precision tasks, helping industrial facilities boost productivity, efficiency, and operational consistency.Factory-ready physical AIAgile One has been developed as a stable, flexible, and highly tactile humanoid robot built specifically for close collaboration with humans in industrial environments. Designed with communication and safety in mind, the robot combines advanced hardware, intelligent software, and a human-friendly form to address the practical demands of real-world operations.A defining feature of Agile One is its dexterity. Engineered to closely replicate human hand function, each hand is equipped with fingertip sensors and force-torque sensing at every joint. This enables the humanoid to perform both delicate and forceful tasks with exceptional precision, stability, and adaptability, allowing for reliable handling of tools, components, and complex assemblies. The startup claims that powering these capabilities is an AI system trained on one of Europe’s largest real-world industrial datasets, supplemented by simulated environments and data collected from human demonstrations. This extensive training enables Agile One to transfer learned skills directly to real-world settings, improving reliability and task performance in dynamic industrial conditions.Agile Robots is also introducing a layered AI architecture that separates intelligence into specialised levels. Higher layers focus on strategic reasoning and task planning, while lower layers manage rapid reactions and fine motor control. This structure allows Agile One to combine cognitive decision-making with precise physical execution.According to the firm, human-robot interaction is central to the design. Bright colours, expressive eyes, proximity sensors, and a chest-mounted information display help ensure interactions are intuitive, safe, and comfortable.Agile Robots plans to begin full production in early 2026 at a new manufacturing facility in Bavaria, maintaining full in-house control over the robot’s hardware production process.
