China's humanoid robot has stunned online viewers with a full-body stretch routine, showing advanced balance and motion control.

LimX Dynamics’ full-size humanoid robot Oli has once again stunned its fans after performing what the Chinese company calls a full-body stretch routine in a new social media video. The Shenzhen-based robotics company which was founded in 2022, released a 52-second video showing two of its full-size Oli humanoid robot s suspended from safety tethers.

Standing about 5.4 feet tall with 31 degrees of freedom, the two robots can then be seen performing a series of synchronized motion tests, thus demonstrating exceptional balance, coordination and full-body control. The video captures the them bending forward, flexing smoothly at the knees and hips, as well as lifting slightly off the ground in a motion that closely resembles a human warm-up exercise.Synchronized performanceThe extraordinary scene takes place inside LimX Dynamics’ robotics laboratory, where multiple prototype models can be seen in the background. Its purpose is to show the robots’ joint articulation, balance control and full-range motion. It opens with the robots tilting their torsos side to side, as they carefully lean first to one direction and then to the other. The movement mirrors a human stretch meant to loosen the upper body. In the next scene, they return to an upright stance before smoothly flexing their knees and ankles. This sequence continues with both of them lifting their heels and performing a rhythmic stretch meant to highlight the flexibility of their joint movement. In the next part, the two Oli robots perform a coordinated leg extension, and lean slightly back and forth, while raising their feet off the ground in unison. Their gentle warm-up then transitions into a dynamic aerial exercise, where both robots lift their legs into the air and perform a twist. The clip shows them rotating their bodies outward with impressive precision and control, before returning to their original position. Finally, in a scene captured from a different angle inside the firm’s workshop, the two humanoid robots perform a suspended split-like exercise while facing the camera. Stretching the limitsThe clip is reportedly designed to showcase Oli’s stability, joint articulation as well as movement control, through a series of exercises including side bends, leg lifts and splits. Equipped with dual Intel RealSense depth cameras, a 6-axis IMU and a modular software development kit with Python support, the 121-lb robot is built to push the boundaries of embodied AI and motion research.According to the company, Oli’s design allows for fluid, human-like movement and fast adaptability. It serves as a platform for developers, researchers and system integrators exploring the next generation of intelligent robotics. The two full-size humanoid robots performing their stretch routine.Credit: LimX DynamicsOfficially launched in July 2025 and featured at the World Robot Conference in Beijing, Oli is ideal for environments that require nuanced manipulation and adaptability, such as logistics hubs, assembly lines, and fulfillment centers.“We are committed to disruptive technology in Embodied AI, with the mission to unlock the generalization of Artificial General Intelligence in real world,” LimX Dynamics representatives, said. The company believes Oli can bridge the gap between research and real-world application and accelerate advances in embodied AI, motion control and human-robot interaction.

China Sanctions South Korean Shipbuilder Amid US Trade DisputeChina Sanctions South Korean Shipbuilder Amid US Trade DisputeChina retaliates against five subsidiaries of South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean following a U.S. investigation into China's dominance in global shipbuilding, demonstrating the validity of U.S. concerns about unfair trade practices. The U.S. investigation, initiated in March 2024 and completed in May 2025, found that China's practices unfairly burden U.S. commerce through systematic subsidization and strategic targeting of the maritime industry. As a consequence, the U.S. now lags far behind China in shipbuilding. The U.S. is implementing new port fees on Chinese vessels.
