HPD said the 2-year-old was strapped in a stroller when he and his grandmother were hit by a driver who police say failed to yield in the intersection.
A 2-year-old was killed after being hit by a truck while on a walk with his grandmother in southwest Houston on West Fuqua.A toddler and his grandmother were crossing the street Thursday morning when they were hit by a truck turning left in the southside of Houston.The crash happened at about 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in the 3100 block of West Fuqua and Bathhurst.
"Houston Fire Department responded to the scene and transported both parties," HPD Comannder Donna Crawford said. "Both the child and grandmother went to area hospitals where unfortunately the child was pronounced deceased. The grandmother did have injuries and she is expected to survive.
