Many women would do everything to ensure their wedding dress is perfect, including dropping a significant amount of money. However, for local actress Afifah Nasir, the wedding dress she had chosen for her big day received more backlash than praise.
The 31-year-old actress recently tied the knot with her partner, Syed Hariz, at a ceremony held at the St. Regis Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. It is believed that the pair had their solemnization ceremony and reception on the same day but at different times. While the wedding was a private affair, photos and videos from the star’s wedding were shared on social media, allowing fans and netizens a look into the extravagant event.
Unfortunately, not everyone was pleased with the dress, particularly its sheerness. Given that the Afifah’s decolletage was prominent in the dress, netizens said it was an inappropriate choice for a Muslim wedding. Many even said the dress would’ve looked better if the actress had paired it with an innerwear. However, some said Afifah could still wear the dress for the reception but argued it was too immodest for her solemnization ceremony, which is often considered a religious affair.
