According to Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, officers received information about a truck hijacking on the highway. “A convoy of vehicles with a truck with the same description given, was noticed. Operational takedown was executed and police arrested 13 suspects, seizing five sedan vehicles, two firearms, a jamming device and a hijacked truck with stock worth approximately R3 200 000.”Nevhuhulwi said two of the vehicles were positively identified as stolen as per Olifantsfontein and Sebenza cases.
