New maps from leading Australian fire experts paint a frightening picture of how Victorian bushfires have dramatically increased in frequency.
The maps, produced by a team from the Australian National University and Curtin University, compare bushfire frequency in eastern Victoria in the 20-year period from 1980 to 2000 with the two decades from 2001 to 2020.
