Premier Jacinta Allan is adamant the majority of Victorians who voted No to the Voice to Parliament will not change the state's resolve to deliver Treaty.
Victoria has been on a path to Treaty since 2016 when the government first committed to an agreement described as"the embodiment of Aboriginal self-determination".
"We have been for some time now on a really clear path to how we can better listen and work with Indigenous Victorians to get better outcomes," she told reporters. "What's been a feature of the work we've done here in Victoria is that the legislation that went through the parliament a few years ago had bipartisan support.
The Voice was designed to be an advisory body to the federal parliament. All six states and the Northern Territory had a majority No vote in Saturday's referendum.
