San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama is confirmed to participate in the Rising Stars game during the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco. The highly anticipated event will be held on February 14th at the Chase Center and features four teams of seven players each, competing in a one-night tournament format.

Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs is set to make his second consecutive appearance at the NBA All-Star weekend in San Francisco on February 14th. The 7-foot-4 phenom was unsurprisingly selected for the Rising Stars event, which will be held at the Golden State Warriors ' Chase Center . The Rising Stars is a one-night tournament featuring four teams of seven players each. The teams will compete in semifinal games, with the first to reach 40 points advancing.

The semifinal winners will then face off in a championship game, where the first team to 25 points takes home the victory. Wembanyama is one of 11 second-year players selected for the Rising Stars game. He is also considered a strong contender to be chosen as a reserve for the All-Star Game on February 16th. The list of 14 reserve players will be revealed on Thursday. While the 10 starting players for the All-Star Game were announced last week, it's worth noting that more players will actually start in the All-Star Game due to various format aspects. The only representative from this year's host team, the Golden State Warriors, in the Rising Stars is power forward/center Trayce Jackson-Davis. The other second-year players selected for the Rising Stars include Bilal Coulibaly (Washington), Gradey Dick (Toronto), Keyonte George (Utah), Scoot Henderson (Portland), Jaime Jaquez Jr. (Miami), Dereck Lively II (Dallas), Brandon Miller (Charlotte), Amen Thompson (Houston), and Cason Wallace (Oklahoma City). The Rising Stars roster also includes a group of rookies, with Washington teammates Alex Sarr and Bub Carrington, San Antonio's Stephon Castle, Orlando's Tristan da Silva, Memphis teammates Zach Edey and Jaylen Wells, the Los Angeles Lakers' Dalton Knecht, Philadelphia's Jared McCain, New Orleans' Yves Missi, and Atlanta's Zaccharie Risacher (last year's No. 1 draft pick) rounding out the selections. However, McCain is currently injured and is likely to be replaced by the NBA. The fourth team in the Rising Stars will be composed of players from the NBA G League, including two-time defending slam dunk contest champion Mac McClung of the Osceola Magic, JD Davison of the Maine Celtics, Bryce McGowens of the Rip City Remix, Leonard Miller of the Iowa Wolves, Dink Pate of the Mexico City Capitanes, Reed Sheppard of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, and Pat Spencer of the Santa Cruz Warriors. The winning team in the Rising Stars tournament will earn a spot in the All-Star Game alongside three teams of NBA players
