Nikolas Cruz jury recommends life in prison, not death, on all 17 counts
Challengers for the Florida gubernatorial election, Ron DeSantis and Charlie Crist, had similar sentiments to share following the verdict.
"Massacring those students with premeditation and utter disregard for basic humanity" should have earned his spot on death row, the governor said.
