The shooting was reported Wednesday night, July 26, at a Sheetz store near Carlisle.
The Middlesex Township Police Department is investigating a shooting near a Cumberland County Sheetz.A person was seriously wounded in a shooting near a Cumberland County convenience store this week, according to the district attorney.
“The victim suffered very serious but not life-threatening injuries,” he said, declining to provide the person’s age or gender. “We believe this was an isolated incident,” he said when asked about the circumstances of the shooting. He declined to provide more information about whether the victim and shooter were in vehicles when the shooting happened or what prompted the gun violence. Evidence markers placed at the scene by police indicated dozens of shell casings.Police have not made any arrests in the case as of Friday evening.
