A man is currently in prison on a $500,000 bail after hospital staff reported a stabbing victim who entered Lancaster General Health. According to a press release from Manheim Township Police, the victim came to the hospital on Dec.

3 with a stab wound to the neck and told a nurse that they were stabbed on Chatham Way by a "Woody Adams." Authorities stated the injury caused "serious" blood loss which led to the victim getting "lifesaving surgery." When investigators went to the Chatham Way home, they said they found a "large amount of blood" in the kitchen and sunroom of the house. Further investigation revealed that the suspect was 44-year-old Russell Adams-Nicholls who had been arrested the same day as the stabbing for a prior assault and then was released that day on bond.A witness confirmed to officers that Adams-Nicholls seemed "manic." Adams-Nicholls was later arrested at the Lancaster General Hospital and reportedly had an injured right hand. He is currently being held at the Lancaster County Prison for attempted murder and aggravated assault.
