However, the coach said that last night’s success was more meaningful for the players, especially in light of recent changes including the sudden resignation of former head coach Kim Pan Gon last July. “It was not as easy as we wanted it to be but in the end, we got the results...and now that we are in the final, we just want to win as well,” he told a post-match press conference here.
The Harimau Malaya then hit back through Mohammad Syamer’s 43rd-minute equaliser and a penalty by substitute winger Muhammad Safawi Rasid in the 73rd minute to secure victory on home soil.
