She faced allegations of fund misuse and was scheduled to appear before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for questioning on November 26. However, Duterte could not attend due to a conflicting congressional hearing, which the House committee on good government postponed to accommodate the NBI investigation.

An advance team from the Vice President's office, including her lawyer, was present at the NBI headquarters. If Duterte fails to appear, the NBI will forward its evidence to the Department of Justice (DOJ)
