Detained TV host and comedian Ferdinand “Vhong” Navarro was transferred to the Taguig City Jail on Monday, Nov. 21.
Navarro’s transfer from the National Bureau of Investigation detention center in Manila to the Taguig City Jail was ordered by Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69, which is handling the rape case filed against him by model Deniece Cornejo.The court issued a commitment order, which was received by the NBI on Nov. 14.
The non-bailable warrant of arrest was issued in the afternoon of Sept. 19. He was transferred to the NBI detention center in Manila on Sept. 20. According to Mariglen Abraham-Garduque, Navarro’s collaborating counsel, “The court issued the [transfer] order even prior to the petition for bail.”
