Police have provided a devastating update on the fiery crash that claimed the lives of six people in the Northern Territory, after a Mitsubishi Pajero 4WD collided with a triple road train.
Police believe the Mitsubishi 4WD was travelling north along the highway when it veered into the southbound lane and collided head on with the truck before exploding into flames.
"Our thoughts are with them, they are in hospital. They have a number of injuries, but the psychological injury they’ll carry for the rest of their lives." "The scene is now rehabilitated, but a very distressing scene. We’ve never seen anything quite like it," he said. Commissioner Murphy said people have already come forward with dash came footage of the vehicle, but urge any witnesses to contact police.
