The program will award $50,000 scholarships to three finalists in each of four design categories: denim, knits and sweaters, ready-to-wear, and soft wovens. Finalists will be selected based on their portfolios and academic achievements, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
The competition will culminate in a design challenge judged by Veronica Beard founders Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard. Winners will not only receive the substantial scholarship but also a summer internship at Veronica Beard's New York City headquarters. During their internship, they will gain invaluable experience working alongside the brand's design team and cross-functional partners.
