🔴Vernon Kay will replace Ken Bruce on Radio 2's mid-morning show from May, BBC confirms
Kay, 48, is set to launch his new show in May, taking over from veteran broadcasterBruce, 72, will present his final show on March 3, before he fronts a brand new mid-morning show on Greatest Hits Radio from April.
“I look forward to playing some of the best music in the world whilst in the company of the Radio 2 listeners who I feel I’ve got to know over the last 18 months. It’s a dream come true to join the Radio 2 family and I can’t wait to start.” He has previously filled in for BBC Radio 2 presenters including Zoe Ball, Steve Wright, Rylan Clark and Dermot O’Leary.
