A fight in the backyard of two homes in Vermilion Township ended with a dog shot dead and two others seriously hurt, leaving two neighbors distraught.

Wilson continues that his dog got in between, and the two neighbor dogs attacked, and despite his efforts to pull them off, he was forced to shoot the dogs. Sigsworth walked 19 News through the investigation report, which said it found one dog dead, the other shot in Wilson’s yard. His dog had several bite marks on it.
Wilson, who declined an interview, says he felt his family was in danger and that his response was justified. He details his efforts to pull the two dogs away first.Westover is also distraught and says he still has questions.Westover says his dogs have never had trouble with other people or pets.
