Venom is an action sci-fi movie that stars Tom Hardy as the titular Marvel anti-hero. When the Life Foundation begins experimenting on alien lifeforms they find on a comet that landed nearby, Investigative Journalist Eddie Brock begins to investigate them. When an infiltration goes wrong, Eddie finds that one of the aliens has bonded to him, forcing him to learn to live with his new uninvited host. Giving him superhuman powers, the two begin to work together to stop the rest of the symbiote's invasive species.
When Eddie Brock acquires the powers of a symbiote, he will have to release his alter-ego"Venom" to save his life. Venom's first full appearance in the comics happened in 1988's#300 and he quickly became one of Spider-Man's most popular foes. The character was part of Sam Raimi'sin 2007, but the portrayal was widely criticized by fans. A spinoff starring Venom has been in development for quite some time, with first word about the project happening in 2007.
director Ruben Fleischer will helm, with Oscar nominee Tom Hardy portraying the title role. Principal photography began in October 2017 and wrapped in January 2018. Sony is going for an R rating after Fox experience success with adult-orientated comic book adaptations. It is unknown if this is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Marvel's deal with Sony to use Spider-Man in the MCU. Kevin Feige says it is separate, but Amy Pascal referred toas an adjunct of the MCU.

My Most Glass-Half-Full Take -- Day is Going to Morph This into the 2018 Offense (and Our D is Way Better Than 2018)I have two optimistic takes on the offense through two games this season: First, Day is clearly using the first three games to work on things on offense. He is playing both quarterbacks (despite McCord, IMO, showing he is clearly QB1), he is working the same couple run plays to death, he is letting all his RBs get touches, he is challenging his OL on tough blocking assignments, etc. He is challenging his team to see what they have. I don't think it's fair at all to judge this offense just yet.
