Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials arrested a 23-year-old homeless Venezuelan migrant in Detroit after he voluntarily requested to be taken into custody. The migrant reportedly stated he would commit crimes if not arrested. This arrest coincides with ICE's continued enforcement of President Trump's mass deportation directive.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials on Monday reported the arrest of an illegal Venezuela n migrant who had asked to be taken into custody.

The Venezuelan added that if ICE did not arrest him, he would leave and commit crimes, according to ICE. He is currently in ICE custody pending the results of immigration proceedings.ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Detroit Field Office Director Robert Lynch applaud the migrant's decision. The arrest comes as ICE continues to execute President Donald Trump’s mass deportation directive targeting an influx of illegal migrants to the U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Sundaythe FBI after information was leaked regarding ICE's upcoming immigration enforcement actions in the Los Angeles area.

Attorney General Pam Bondi promised to uncover the source of the leak, saying “it’s not going to stop the president’s mission to make America safe again.” Trump’s border czar Tom Homan also“I’m addressing opsecs today – operation security, how these leaks are happening,” Homan said during an appearance on Fox News. “We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today.
