Maybe there’s a bigger challenge ahead, as Raines will almost assuredly be hosting either Sarasota Booker, Miami Northwestern or Melbourne Eau Gallie in the state semifinals next week. Win that one — running clock or not — and it’s on to the state championship game, with the Vikings seeking their first title since capping back-to-back championships in 2018.

Ta’darius Washington flourished with 133 rushing yards and a pair of scores, while quarterback T.J. Cole added 95 rushing yards and a score while throwing for two touchdowns.
Just a few plays later, Derek Heideman connected with JP Donovan for a nine-yard touchdown and a 7-0 lead.
