Cuando al muralista Brian Peterson le entregaron el proyecto para renovar artísticamente un gimnasio de los cincuenta en la comunidad de Watts, en el área de Los Ángeles, sabía que tenía que asumir el reto con la “mentalidad Mamba”. Muchos le preguntaban si el proyecto llamado por el artista “Courthedral”, en alusión a un gimnasio que parece una catedral, iba a estar listo para este lunes, 20 de mayo, pero él nunca dudó.
“Yo era el tipo raro que era de Miami, pero estaba obsesionado con Kobe”, declaró el muralista de 37 años de edad. “Estoy viviendo mi sueño de 14 años, fue un honor hacer esto”. 'Es un lugar especial para mi familia', dijo Vanessa, vestida totalmente de negro. 'Este gimnasio es un testimonio de la fe inquebrantable de Kobe y Gigi en el potencial de todos los jóvenes deportistas', dijo Vanessa, presidenta de la Fundación Deportiva Mamba y Mambacita.
