A suspected vandal was on Friday electrocuted when he broke into a distribution transformer of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company at the Coal Camp area of the state.
Luck, however, ran against him during the vandalisation of the armoured cables as power was restored and he was electrocuted. Ezeh, who described the incident as tragic and very unfortunate, lamented the increasing rate at which vandals attack electricity installations within EEDC’s network daily. He further said that vandalism has become a big challenge to the company, stressing that there is no way it can be addressed without the support of critical stakeholders.
