The Road Freight Association says it believes the arson attack on trucks on the N3 qwas a coordinated attack on the road freight sector.It’s understood that a group of armed suspects stopped six trucks near Van Reenens Pass.The highway was also closed for several hours.
Kelly says it will lead to businesses closing and will affect the economy."Nothing was stolen so this wasn't a common scheme of looting or theft. The question must be asked as to who is behind this, the department of labour needs to deal with those who are non-compliant in terms of labour laws."
