Victor Manuel Ortiz lived in Monterrey, Mexico, and was just visiting his son when the tornado took his life. In this photo taken on May 19th, six days before the tornado, Ortiz is with his grandson, Juan Ortiz.Victor Manuel Ortiz and his wife, Felicitas Perez, were visiting Texas from Monterrey, Mexico, when a tornado tore through their son’s home late Saturday night in Valley View. The family was together when the storm hit and tried to seek shelter in the bathroom.
Juan Carlos Ortiz tried to grab his parents with his hands, but the wind ripped them away and threw them all together with the house’s debris.
