And for Corey Conners, the 2019 Texas Open champion, Sunday is a chance to become the event’s 10th multiple winner. Rodgers, chasing his first win after three runner-ups and three third-place showings across 234 career events, maintained his place atop the leaderboard, but many in the field made pushes to close the gap.
“Go out and do the same as today,” An said. “Tomorrow, hopefully I can put everything all together and might be up there.” Though frustration started to creep in, Stevens rebounded to birdie four of the final five holes, putting him in range of a potential first win and a ticket to the Masters.
