Incoming first-year college students residing in Valenzuela City may apply online for the Dr. Pio Valenzuela Scholarship Program starting Jan. 3 until March 4, 2022.
The Dr. Pio Valenzuela Scholarship Program offers financial assistance for poor students to further their education in public and private colleges and universities.
Qualified applicants are entitled to P30,000 annually, receiving P15,000 per semester, as indicated in City Ordinance No. 37. The scholarship applies to public and private colleges and universities accredited by the Commission on Higher Education , according to the city ordinance. Applicants must be graduates of any public or private junior high school in the city, having studied for four consecutive years. They must also be underprivileged Grade 12 students enrolled in any program under the GAS, STEM, HUMSS, and ABM strands.
