Shudder has finally released the trailer for V/H/S/Beyond, an upcoming found footage horror anthology movie featuring six horrifying stories.
While the trailer previews only glimpses from the six tapes, it gives viewers a look at what to expect from the upcoming feature, such as monsters lurking on airplanes and in the woods. It is directed by several horror mainstays, including Jordan Downey , Justin Martinez , Virat Pal ,V/H/S/Beyond will feature several stories, including Stork , Fur Babies , Live and Let Dive , Dream Girl , and Stowaway , with Cheel rounding out the terrifying tale.
The directors partnered with writers Kevin Stewart, Ben Turner, Evan Dickson, and Mike Flanagan for their respective segments. “V/H/S/BEYOND, the seventh installment of the V/H/S franchise will feature six new bloodcurdling tapes, placing horror at the forefront of a sci-fi-inspired hellscape,” the logline reads.
First introduced in 2012, the first film — titled V/H/S — spawned five more installments, including V/H/S/2 in 2013, V/H/S: Viral in 2014, V/H/S/94 in 2021, V/H/S/99 in 2022, and V/H/S/85 in 2023, with the forthcoming V/H/S/Beyond as the latest in the franchise. The V/H/S spin-off films include 2016’s SiREN and 2022’s Kids vs. Aliens.
V/H/S/Beyond hits Shudder on October 4, just in time for Halloween. Other V/H/S features are also available to stream on the platform.The release date for Netflix’s Back in Action has been delayed.
