The Australian’s Media Writer Sophie Elsworth says there should be harsher penalties for protestors.
Her comment comes as climate activists from the Just Stop Oil Group were protesting at a World Snooker Championship on Monday with one activist throwing orange powder paint over a table during a match causing a disruption.
“Usually, the fines are so small … it’s a smack on the hand, it doesn’t have any impact and they keep on doing it,” Ms Elsworthy told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
