The Roadrunners will be playing in a bowl game for the fifth straight year and sixth time overall as the program completes its 14th season.
’s streak of bowl berths appeared to be in jeopardy after a 3-5 start, with blowout losses to Texas State and Texas followed by tight setbacks against East Carolina, Rice and Tulsa to open the American Athletic Conference season 1-3. But the Roadrunners rebounded through a three-game homestand, beating Memphis, North Texas and Temple to punch their ticket to bowl eligibility.
