With UTSA moving on from coach Steve Henson after a third straight losing season, the Roadrunners' primary backcourt duo is looking for a new home.

Within two days of the announcement that UTSA coach Steve Henson will not be renewed for the 2024-25 season, Roadrunners leading scorers Jordan Ivy-Curry and Christian Tucker entered the transfer portal, sharing their moves on social media. Returning for a third season at UTSA following a year at Pacific, Ivy-Curry averaged a team-best 17.1 points per game, appearing in 21 contests off the bench after being deemed eligible in December.

Ivy-Curry was UTSA’s most proficient 3-point shooter, as well, averaging 2.2 per game at a 38.7% rate. Tucker emerged as a regular starter at point guard last season after two quiet years in the program, averaging 11.2 points and an American Athletic Conference-leading 5.5 assists per game. The Roadrunners wrapped up a third straight losing season Wednesday, finishing 11-21 after a first-round loss as the bottom seed in the AAC tournament.
