The Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman secures 3rd place out of 146 teams from 36 countries at Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023 Global Final held in China. This competition serves as a platform for students to showcase their ICT knowledge and practical skills.
Event attracted 120k students from 2k colleges and universities across 74 countries
The team, composed of Tay Bee Sim, Ho Wei Liang, and Yong Hong Long, had previously emerged as champions in the Cloud Track category at the Malaysia Final. Additionally, Tay was honoured with the Women in Tech award in the Cloud Track category at the Huawei ICT Competition Asia Pacific 2022-2023 Regional Final. Tham Mau Luen, a lecturer at UTAR, led the team.
