"From just grocery prices, just doing your day-to-day things. I feel like it's been a lot more expensive the last couple of years," said Ben Ellis, a Davis County resident. Ellis said economic challenges are prominent in the nation. It's a significant worry among his friends and coworkers. "Even like house prices, a lot of stuff that's kind of gone up. Even trying to find jobs and things like that. Seems like it's been a little more difficult the last couple of years," Ellis said.Although Ellis is hopeful about economic improvement, he said he recognizes there will likely be challenges during Trump's term.Others, like Davis County resident Robert Yeates, are eager to see how the administration will address international conflicts.

"I would like to see us, meaning the United States, strengthen NATO," he said. "I'd like to see us settle the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and follow through with the Biden administration's settlement with Hamas-Israel.""I'd like to see us become active peacemakers around the world. I'd like to see honesty and truth come to government, and I'd like to see us restore humanity and be free of prejudice," he said.
