There are new concerns over the three-drug cocktail the Utah Department of Corrections procured to put condemned killer Taberon Honie to death in August.
Honie was sentenced to death for the violent murder of his ex-girlfriend's mother, Claudia Benn, in Cedar City back in 1998.Later on, Honie confessed: "I stabbed her. I killed her with a knife."
This begs the question: can Honie be executed in a constitutional manner with the drug cocktail the state initially intended on using? 2News Investigates found ketamine has never been used in an execution in the United States.
