Lindsey Graham for his service, patriotism and personal warmth following his death. Utah Sen. John Curtis said Graham left behind a legacy of devoted service to the country and his home state of South Carolina.
“More than just one of the most influential leaders in Washington, Lindsey was among the strongest defenders of America and its values across the world,” Curtis wrote on X.FBI steps in to assist local authorities in probe of sudden death of Sen. “As a new member of the Senate, I will always be grateful for the kindness he showed me,” Curtis wrote. “He went out of his way to make me feel welcome and valued, treating me as though I had been there for years. ” Curtis said he was “stunned and saddened” by Graham's death and offered prayers for his family, staff and the people of South Carolina.
“His humor and dedication will be greatly missed in the U.S. Senate,” Lee wrote. “Please join me in praying for his family and all who mourn him in Washington, South Carolina, and across the nation. ” Lee said Graham loved America and his work representing the people of South Carolina, adding that the Senate “will not be the same here without him.
” “My heart is heavy upon learning of the passing of my friend and colleague,” Lee wrote in another tribute.
“I loved serving with Lindsey and will miss his infectious laugh, quick wit, and enthusiasm for life. ” Former Utah Sen. Mitt Romney focused his tribute on Graham's support for freedom abroad, particularly Ukraine.
“Lindsey Graham’s dedication to the cause of freedom inspired the oppressed and chastened the tyrants,” Romney said. “A most fitting tribute to his life will be the unwavering support for the people of Ukraine. ”An aviation fuel tanker crashed, rolled, and caught on fire.
