After a season-ending Game 6 loss to Utah in the first round of last year’s playoffs, Westbrook swiped at a fan who was attempting to film him with a camera phone as he walked off the court. After that incident, Westbrook told reporters: “I don’t confront fans, fans confront me.” He added that singled out Utah fans for saying “disrespectful, vulgar things.
“I don’t think it’s fair to the players,” he said. “If I had to do it over again, I would say the same exact thing. I truly will stand up for myself and my family, for my kids, for my wife, for my mom, for my dad. I expect everyone else to do the same.”
